I have been really into midi skirts lately. I can’t get enough of them and pretty much try on every one I see. This is one of my favorites. I love the pattern, which reminds me of brush strokes. When I saw it at H&M, there was a zero percent chance of me leaving the store without it and I can’t wait to wear the heck out of it this season.

I have not been a very good blogger lately, or throughout the Winter really. In December, I got approval to work from home full time. This was an absolute blessing. Prior to that, I had been driving over an hour each way to work, three days a week, for about a year. It wasn’t always that way, but when my boyfriend got a good job in Richmond–a place we both wanted to live–I made a sacrifice. Working from has been great for me in so many ways (more sleep, less stress, etc.), but it’s also helped me slack on blogging. When you don’t have to leave the house to work, there is no sense in getting dressed in anything other than leggings and a sweatshirt. It’s dark outside when my photographer (aka boyfriend) gets home from work and our weekends have been so busy that it’s just been difficult. In the coming weeks, I will be making an effort to post more.
We had some nice weather this weekend (for about 24 hours). Saturday was spent doing some painting around the house but Sunday was a lovely day which included brunch with my family. I took the opportunity to wear bright Spring colors and open-toed shoes before the cold weather returns this week. When I said these were my favorite pants, I meant it. I just bought them in the polka-dot print and I am sure you will be seeing them sometime in the near future.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
When I was a little girl I loved snow days. Now that I am older, not much has changed! Call me crazy but I have been waiting all Winter for a big snow. We finally got it last week and I was loving it! Snow days as a little girl meant getting bundled up and spending the entire day outside building snowmen and sledding. Today, snow days are a cup of hot cocoa, sweatpants and a good movie. Even though the reasoning has changed, the fact remains that I still do (and probably always will) love snow days!
