Winter Mint

Oftentimes, when I am feeling uninspired or just too tired to think, I look to pinterest to answer the question “what should I wear today?”. That is exactly where this outfit came from. It’s mornings like this that I wonder what the heck I would do without pinterest. Probably have to start picking out clothes on my own and eat less exciting food for dinner.

Coat Weather

It’s November; when the heck did that happen? The first day of Winter isn’t until December 21, but it sure feels like Winter here. In my mind, Winter = Christmas and since it feels like Winter, I can start listening to Christmas music. Yes, I am worse than the department stores. I’ll hold off to decorate, but the music and holiday cheer starts now.

Scarf Weather

Not that it ever stopped me from wearing them before, but it is officially scarf weather. And tights and boots and wool blazers weather. I’ve got to say, as much as I’ve been welcoming Fall, I’m a little concerned about taking outfit photos in Winter. Hopefully I can bribe my photographer with promises of hot cocoa and warm cookies. Or just join the birds and head South for the Winter.

Vintage

Despite the fact that all of these pieces were bought in this decade, I felt very vintage in this outfit. This skirt is one of my favorite things (along with raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens). Sometimes I can’t believe that it came from Forever 21. A cute, comfortable, affordable skirt? Julie Andrews should probably think about adding that to her list of favorite things.
