I wore this outfit last night for date night–which consisted of sofa shopping, followed by dinner.  My life is so romantic!  It was a little cooler so I took advantage and wore a blazer. If there are two things I love, it’s menswear and over-sized tops.  This navy number has both of those qualities wrapped up into one little package of blazer bliss!

Warm Colors

Most of my weekend was spent relaxing.  My “big” plans were shopping for a new sofa (okay, this IS what old age looks like) and watching the Olympics.  I wore this outfit out to lunch and to furniture stores.  I love warm colors because they make me think of the leaves changing color in the fall.  I decided that if I start to wear fall-like clothing, I can will the season into existence.  Exhibit A: warm colors and a scarf.  For some reason, it’s still going to be 90 degrees today….

The Calm Before the Storm

After a relaxing weekend, I am off to have one busy week.  I am taking most of the week off to see four different concerts in four different cities with my friend Katlyn.  Today, I head to New York to see one of my favorites, Tokyo Police Club.  It’s a good thing I didn’t do much this weekend because I am going to be exhausted by the time Friday rolls around!

Weekend Wear

When Rock & Republic introduced their line for Kohl’s, I was curious to see what it would be like.  I wasn’t really impressed with anything until I saw these shorts.  I decided to give them a try and am so glad I did–I LOVE them.  They are the perfect length; not so short that I feel like a high-schooler but not so long that I feel like an old lady.  I bought them in this color and another pair in off-white.  I wore them this weekend to my friend’s barbeque and am excited that I happened upon them before I decided to stop shopping on June 1.  Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
