Winter has decided to show its face here in Richmond and let me tell ya, it’s freezing. This is pretty much what I have been wearing every day. Hats, boots, and scarves have become necessary just to step outside and check the mail. If it’s going to be this cold, the least it could do is snow already!
I didn’t go too overboard this weekend with Christmas decorations. I still haven’t put the tree up but did start to pull out little decorations to give the house a festive feel. Since we moved to a bigger place, I am noticing that it’s harder to make the house look as “Christmas-y” with the amount of decorations we have. Looks like I will need to do some more holiday shopping.
The rest of the weekend was spent celebrating a good friend’s birthday, running errands and trying out new recipes for dinner. All in all, it was a great weekend. I hope everyone is having a lovely Monday.

Wow, what a crazy week it’s been! It’s Friday and I am just now posting pictures of an outfit I wore on Wednesday. I can’t believe the first week of November is already over. Before we know it, it’s going to be Thanksgiving and then Christmas! Luckily, I am ahead of the game this year. I have already started shopping and might have even started listening to Christmas music. What can I say? Nothing puts me in a good mood like JT and the guys crooning “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” through the speakers of my car on my drive to work. Maybe I’ll even put up my Christmas tree this weekend. Too soon?
I had such a wonderful weekend. My parents came into town and we got to spend time relaxing/doing a little bit of work on the house. We had brunch on Sunday followed by an impromptu estate sale and trip to a local brewery with friends. As per usual, the weekend went by too quickly but I enjoyed the extra hour of sleep! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
What an exhausting weekend! Two of my dear friends came to visit on Friday night. We stayed up way past my bedtime catching up and telling stories. Then on Saturday, it was off to Charlottesville for a wedding. Sunday was filled with grocery shopping and errands and before I knew it, it was Monday again. Needless to say, I am in some serious need of caffeine!
