I sort of feel like a quirky creative writing teacher in this outfit.  The only thing that would make it better is if I had these glasses to wear with it.  And I’m seriously considering buying them.

On a side note, I have decided to buy all my coats in February and March when they go on sale.  I know that I will probably never stick to that, but so far I have gotten one from J Crew and two from Asos at half the price of the original cost.  If only I can remember that by the time next Fall rolls around.

I’ve been wanting a dress like this forever.  Okay, maybe more like a few months.  I originally saw one at Anthropologie but decided to hold off until after the holidays.  Just my luck, it sold out in no time.  I recently found this one on sale at ModCloth and immediately scooped it up.  Sometimes good things do come to those who wait.  DSC_00441

Holiday Party

I wore this dress to my company’s holiday party on Saturday night.  It’s one of the pieces I picked up on my latest trip to Anthro.  My sister and I both tried it on and both ended up loving it.  Too bad we don’t wear the same size like we used to while growing up!  She could have worn it to her holiday party on Friday night, just in time to trade it off to me for Saturday.  Being an adult is so hard.

Borrowing from the Boy

I don’t own any plaid scarves, which is odd because I have pretty much a plaid everything else.  I borrowed this one from my boyfriend for the day.  I guess that will be one of the first things I buy when I can shop again TOMORROW!

Black and Yellow

I wore this outfit, but with pants, to work yesterday.  It is still ridiculously hot for October so I changed into shorts for the evening.  It’s only appropriate that I am wearing black and yellow since I am preparing to take a trip to Pittsburgh to be a part of my dear friend’s wedding this weekend.  I can’t wait!
