I had a snow day yesterday and it was great. I have to admit, I’m sort of like a little kid when it comes to snow. I check the weather report incessantly and keep my fingers crossed that I will get buried inside all day with no hope of going anywhere. It’s been a pretty mild winter for us so I was ecstatic to wake up to white flakes falling from the sky. My excitement was short lived, though. All the snow has turned to mush and there’s not a cloud in the sky today.

It’s been rainy here the past few days and I’ve been feeling a little under the weather. The combination of those two things has made me instantly reach for the most comfortable things in my closet. I bought this sweater last year from Free People and it’s been one of my “go-to” tops for the colder months. It’s so comfortable, I would honestly wear it every day if I could. Now that I’ve found this similar one, I might be adding a few new colors to my Christmas List.

Date night happened after all, I just had to alter my outfit due to the pouring rain. I actually welcomed the bad weather because it meant I got to wear my new Hunter rain boots. We had a nice night out to dinner and a movie, despite the tornado watch and today there isn’t even one cloud in the sky!
I apologize for the quality of these photos, but it was quite difficult in the rain.
