Wedding Season

Wedding Season started this weekend with a barn wedding in North Carolina.  I ordered an adorable dress from Asos and it came just in time for the weekend.  The only problem…the entire back was see-through!  After a slight panic, I decided to buy this one (from myself) and it ended up working out great.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!photo-5

Stars and Stripes

When this scarf arrived in the mail the other day, my boyfriend said something to the effect of “that’s perfect for the 4th of July.”  I immediately let him know that it would not only be worn on patriotic holidays, but on a regular basis as well.  This is now my third time wearing it.

Cozy

I took a vacation day on Monday and spent it shopping.  What better way to spend a day off, right?  I went to the outlets where I purchased this cardigan, which is actually called a cozy.  It’s quite accurately named, by the way.  They gave me a little card with 12 different ways to wear it and I am finding it difficult not to live in it. Technically, I could wear it 12 different ways and no one would even notice, right?

Mixed Prints

My boyfriend and I went out to dinner and to see Life of Pi last night.  If you haven’t seen (or read it), I highly recommend both the movie and the book.  It was a beautiful night and one of the first in which we didn’t need to wear coats so I decided to debut my $10 Lauren Conrad blazer.  I’ve been loving the idea of pairing florals with stripes and decided to finally go for it.  I think I could get used to this mixing prints thing.

Casual Everyday

I used to work in a big corporate office.  Everyday besides Friday was business casual. When I moved to my much smaller office, with only one other team member, I kept showing up in my business casual attire.  Since I have a strong distaste for dress pants, every day was a skirt or dress.  That was fine and dandy until it became freezing and I had to wear tights all the time.  Recently, my team member and I decided to put into place “Casual Everyday.”  What is the point in getting all dressed up just for each other?  I am really enjoying wearing jeans to work on a Tuesday.  It’s the little things.DSC_0043 DSC_0022 DSC_0026 DSC_0013 DSC_0038
