Blazer Addict

I am addicted to blazers.  I realized this as I was cleaning out my closet last week.  I own four black blazers.  They are all different, of course, but what normal person thinks it’s okay to have four blazers in the same color?  I also have three grey and two in navy. Realizing I needed to spice up my color options, I bought this one in both mint and pink.

I took these pictures while winery hopping with some of my dear friends this weekend. Continuing with the theme this Winter/Spring, it was a beautiful sunny day on Saturday and is snowing today.  I wish the weather would just make up its mind.

Cat Eyes

I sort of feel like a quirky creative writing teacher in this outfit.  The only thing that would make it better is if I had these glasses to wear with it.  And I’m seriously considering buying them.

On a side note, I have decided to buy all my coats in February and March when they go on sale.  I know that I will probably never stick to that, but so far I have gotten one from J Crew and two from Asos at half the price of the original cost.  If only I can remember that by the time next Fall rolls around.

Mixed Prints

My boyfriend and I went out to dinner and to see Life of Pi last night.  If you haven’t seen (or read it), I highly recommend both the movie and the book.  It was a beautiful night and one of the first in which we didn’t need to wear coats so I decided to debut my $10 Lauren Conrad blazer.  I’ve been loving the idea of pairing florals with stripes and decided to finally go for it.  I think I could get used to this mixing prints thing.

Anchors Aweigh

Well, Forever 21 to the rescue again.  I saw a navy blue sweater at J. Crew Factory with a white anchor on it that I just had to have.  I, of course, waited too long and it sold out.  I found this one shortly after and decided to buy it, ignoring the fact that the only size left was slightly too big for me.  Better too big than too small, right?DSC_0065DSC_0023DSC_0046DSC_0054

Edgy

Lately, I’ve been loving everything that has leather detailing.  I’ve also been wanting an army green anorak jacket for a while.  So when I saw this one at Forever 21 for only $40, I had to buy it.  It’s edgy without being too aggressive.  Just what I was looking for.
