Blonde Hair, Fair Skin

The girl who shampoo-ed my hair at the salon yesterday told me that I look like “those classy celebrities with the blonde hair and fair skin.” Of all the ways I’ve been called pale, (and trust me, there’s a lot) that was the nicest.

There’s the girls who complain to me about being “so pale” and “needing a tan” right before adding, “but it looks good on you!” And how could I ever forget the classy gentleman who said “you’re the hottest pale girl I’ve ever seen.” Let me tell ya, he is probably making some lucky girl really happy with compliments like that one.

But that shampoo girl made me leave the salon with just a little extra pep in my step. Take that, all you tan people. Rachel at Winning Image thinks I look classy.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Sunday was hot and humid and I wanted to wear something “easy.” This dress is soft and light but I never wear it because it’s a tad on the long side. I decided to tie it in a knot, like I would an oversized shirt….and voila! Perfect outfit for sofa buying on a Sunday morning.
