Dress Up

My boyfriend and I went out to dinner at a nice restaurant last night.  It was fun to get dressed up for the evening but I instantly regretted the heels.  We started working out this week and I am definitely feeling the effects (in a bad way).  I looked okay just standing there but trust me, once I tried to walk I looked like a crazy person.

Cat Eyes

I sort of feel like a quirky creative writing teacher in this outfit.  The only thing that would make it better is if I had these glasses to wear with it.  And I’m seriously considering buying them.

On a side note, I have decided to buy all my coats in February and March when they go on sale.  I know that I will probably never stick to that, but so far I have gotten one from J Crew and two from Asos at half the price of the original cost.  If only I can remember that by the time next Fall rolls around.

Going Green

Green is my favorite color so when I saw this coat ridiculously on sale at J Crew, I had to buy it.  I’m so glad I did.  Something about it just makes me feel fancy.  I told my boyfriend I felt like I was going to a gala or Broadway musical in this outfit.  Sadly, I was only going to work.

Chambray and Leopard

This is such a feel good outfit for me.  One, because it combines two of my favorite things: chambray and leopard print.  Two, because these pants are THE most comfortable pants in the world, and three, because it involves layering.  Even standing outside in 87 degree weather waiting for the fire alarms to turn off at work and the fact that these super cute loafers gave me blisters couldn’t put me in a bad mood.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

While taking these photos, I realized that aside from my watch, nothing I’m wearing is currently available to buy.  That, my friends, is what we call recycling.  I don’t know about you guys, but I am pretty impressed with the fact that it’s almost July and I still haven’t bought one piece of clothing.  Not to toot my own horn or anything, but…toot toot.
