Oftentimes, when I am feeling uninspired or just too tired to think, I look to pinterest to answer the question “what should I wear today?”. That is exactly where this outfit came from. It’s mornings like this that I wonder what the heck I would do without pinterest. Probably have to start picking out clothes on my own and eat less exciting food for dinner.

My boyfriend and I had such a busy weekend. We went to see Swan Lake at the ballet on Friday night, had breakfast with friends on Saturday morning, followed by a wine tasting party that afternoon and an engagement party that night. It was so busy that we didn’t have one second to take pictures until Sunday, which was mostly spent relaxing…and scooping up a bunch of the Prabal Gurung stuff at Target.

Winter finally decided to show it’s face here in Virginia. The end of last week was filled with lots of rain and then a little bit of snow. The sun was finally shining this weekend but it was still cold so I bundled up for an afternoon around town.

I threw my boyfriend a surprise birthday party this weekend. He’s been wanting to get together with some of his friends from out of town so I brought them all to him. We had such a great time celebrating with good friends. Another thing to celebrate: Me being able to shop again. I bought a few things so far but am trying to reign it in a little until after Christmas. We’ll see if that actually happens!

This is like the trifecta of outfits for me. It combines denim, lace and plaid. I just don’t think it can get much better than that. On a side note, my hair is definitely getting lighter since going darker. I guess it just doesn’t want to be brown. Looks like I might be taking a trip to the salon sooner than I thought. On another side note, I can shop again in ten days!!
