Sisterly Love
Yesterday, my sister and I drove up to Philly for the night to see Jordan Knight in concert. Yes, Jordan Knight of the New Kids on the Block. We were long overdue for some sisterly bonding, and what better way to bond than singing and dancing along to a (super hot) former boy band sensation? I can think of none. The weather was a bit dodgy and I didn’t pack too many options, but the blazer ended up being my saving grace. Good thing I never pack to go anywhere without at least one blazer. No matter what the weather, a blazer always seems to work with every outfit and instantly dresses up anything. Take example one, below: white blazer over graphic tee. Voila! Instant “Cover Girl.” (Yes, that is a New Kids on the Block reference).

Thrifty Thursday: Brights
There once was a time in my life when my idea of a sale was the 10% off rack at Anthropologie. Well, I stand before you today, a changed girl. One day, I woke up and realized that I didn’t want to live in a mice-infested house as a trade off for having an amazing closet. I guess that is what they call “growing up”. On a mission to save money, but still have cute clothes, I set off to bargain shop. I went in stores that, previously, I would have never given a second thought. The result was quite rewarding. I believe I even told my boyfriend “I will never buy expensive clothes again,” to which he replied, “can I get that in writing and have it certified?” I don’t think I am quite ready to make that commitment yet, but I am a believer of bargain shopping. Today, I give you the first edition of a weekly post that I will be calling Thrifty Thursday. Here are a few of my recent bargain finds.

Hot Mess
I was a hot mess today. I woke up late and rushed to get to work on time for my (not so early) meeting. I did leave the house and make my meeting on time, but not before taking the time to steam my shirt. By the time I got out of the car, it was already covered in wrinkles. So I spent the day at work (and out to dinner after work) looking wrinkly. At least my necklace looked fancy.
